IT Applications Development Manager
Our client is looking for an IT Applications Development Manager for the following: direct application development, maintenance, and support; obtain quotes and determine vendors for any outsourced projects; direct internal application developer tasks, priorities, and deliverables. The incumbent will serve as the IT Project Manager for AX, EDI, and Production floor custom applications and report status to the Director of IT. The IT Applications Development Manager serves as a Global IT member and attends yearly meetings as well as drives global initiatives for the region.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate IT solutions to meet client requirements
Field all user requests for applications and solicit priority.
Determine staffing options to fulfill projects.
Seek outsourced staffing when needed and obtain quotes, and manage costs for all IT application projects.
Report and present applications project status to IT Director on a weekly basis.
Work with managers or project initiators to discuss project status, scope, and timelines.
Develop functional design specifications, flowcharts, PowerPoint, and Visio diagrams for illustration of requests, plans, needs, or costs.
Represent IT on AX Projects and Production Applications
Receive and review all incoming applications requests
Coordinate tasks for AX partners, vendors, and consultants.
Develop reports, data migration tools, SQL, access, and other deliverables to help resolve workload situation.
Coordinate and drive Application integrations, reporting, and new development
Planning and Implementation
Assist IT Director in providing long-range IT plan to mirror and achieve client company plan and objectives.
Participate in the global IT community on a monthly basis to share experiences and exchange technical information.
Skills and
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
8 to 10 years of IT experience in a Microsoft applications environment
8 to 10 years' experience in business process understanding in a manufacturing environment
10 years' experience with application development methodologies and processes
5 to 7 years' experience leading and managing application development and support staff
5 to 7years experience with ERP systems
5 years' experience in managing outsourcing, budgets, timelines, and long range planning
In depth project management experience
Strong written and verbal communication skillsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
