5K a year 12 days ago 12 days ago 12 days ago Assistant District Managers assist District Managers with leading and directing FiveStar General Managers in their duties as required by company policy and procedures.
These duties include but are not limited to merchandising, customer service, human resources, food service, sales, and operations.
This position is a developmental role with the intent to become a District Manager when the position becomes available.
This position will be based out of the Bardstown KY office but will support both the east and west markets as needed so travel, overnights and multiple overnights will be expected.
Essential Job Duties:
Proficient in all FiveStar store level positions duties and responsibilities.
Spend time with District Managers for continued training/development to prepare for promotion.
Fill in for District Managers time off or during periods of heavy workload in various markets.
Promote FiveStar customer service and ensure best possible customer service is in place.
Provide leadership and communication to General Managers.
Assist in the oversight of store teams in the execution of FiveStar policies and procedures.
Assist in driving profit in assigned markets and understanding P&L statements.
Assist in increasing sales through merchandising (pricing, freshness, presentation, signage).
Assist in staffing, ensuring best hires are made and poor performers are managed.
Assist in promoting training programs and thorough development of all store level employees.
Assist in oversight of food operations and safety, ensuring guidelines are followed.
Assist in evaluating promotions (sales and fuel brand).
Assist in reviewing facilities for safety concerns and overall appearance and suggest improvements.
Assist in addressing issues at store level to assure effective and long-term problem resolution.

Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business or related field preferred or equivalent retail management experience.
At least 3 years in a supervisory role.
A valid drivers license Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
Team player, honest, hardworking, customer focused, and excellent attendance.
Able to organize time and manage multiple priorities with or without supervision.
Basic computer skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) preferred.
